Reactionist. Rebellious. Revolutionist.

“Donkey haziko Lamu pekee angalia watu tunapeleka kwa parliament, ka ni ma-leader hatunanga taste,”

In France, back then, when Prince Louis was king. It all started with the price of bread! From this, they found out the root of their problem and eradicated it.

First, let’s get it clear. It’s not all about you. This still doesn’t mean we want you. There are branches of you, created by you. We need to tame first. Then get to you. In French, there’s a saying about not cutting a tree from the top. You have seen those funny TikTok fails of men being men. Be strategical about it. Hii ni kama venye manyanga hupangiwa kazi. You need a plan in order to cut a tree. Itaanguka side gani, hatutafunga barabara, and the most vital one ikianguka tu na do?

The crowd has changed. It’s no longer those (please allow me folks), “people” it is the people. Time to change your strategy. The people won’t come to you, so the old ways may not favor you. No leaders to meet, no policies to discuss. Have hefty seating allowances, you know the drill. Last I checked, they all agree on the way forward through social media. Something you should try. Direct democracy.

If I were you, I’d stop bringing out more branches. Proving more incompetent. We are the familiar individuals who have encountered these moves in the past. The people are pruning all these branches. Swiftly and effectively. Inquire about how the ground is treating those who agreed with your bill. There is no politicising this. It is the people remember. We not only woke, we keep our word too. All you do is sell hope. No wonder you are friends with the clergy.

“Member hurudi home na hope, pastor anaenda na ganji,”

Our parents listened to your sweet words and had them convinced you the chosen one. We collecting their mistakes, making a few changes here and there. Once bitten, they said.

There is no longer tunatunga kamati  we know how this goes. We have been doing this. We have committees for everything in this beautiful country of ours. Frankly, this is we kept blaming her. We were all convinced we have no voice hatupangwigwi, and blamed her. We even went a step forward and applied for passports, ready to divorce her. She, in return, had a long-term plan. She united us throughout education. Gave us platforms to share ideas. Turned out we all have similar problems strengthening our bond more. Then we got talking and discovered she got the greener pastures. Only shared by a secluded few. I thought we l Kenyans. She is ours all.

We’ve been around long enough to see how things work in this country. We no longer accepting that. The education system opened our eyes. Now we have realized we were the problem all along. We were all shortsighted, and they have been taking advantage of her, sasa wakaharibu ukiongea chwaaa! Now they term a kid in the streets with a place card and a water bottle a criminal and choose the approach of shooting on sight. My history professor once said, “It is essential to learn our past, understand their ways to comprehend the present. In turn, plan for a future. There is a magic to it as well. History always repeats itself”

Now we want accountability. It would be sad if they “kamati-ed” their way into this, remember they got “leaders” and they called for a meeting. Drama, drama, drama. Typical reactionist moves. First, let all those kamatis formed to fulfill different tasks accomplish their given tasks. Kwanza, the one that was formed after babas demonstration, what was it called again? We can’t keep on doing the same thing while expecting different results. A lesson we have all learnt and want out of this toxic relationship.

It was all chants at first, but now it’s emotional. We abolishing classes. No one is above the other. We all one, all Kenyans and together we making this nation great again. Tables have turned sasa tumewacha kujihurumia, tunajivunia kuwa Wakenya. Someone said when He asked God for love, he didn’t expect it to be love for his country. It’s a movement now with one goal. Making her great again. You sealed the covenant already. As the white man explained, a revolution is a covenant bound by blood. You got the police busy of late.
